Why do we still use glass to drink out of?

it breaks easily and is dangerous when it does break, so why haven’t we come up with a better alternative?

    We have come up with alternatives.
    There are plastic glasses and metal glasses.
    I guess we have not been able to come over the conventional glass is because we have got too accustomed with it, the feeling of drinking out of glass is what partly makes us feel satisfied and full.
    I agree that glass is dangerous if it is not handled with care but the design, look and feel of it is what cannot let us get over it.
