    Some are just book smart, and i dont have an aswer for that..

    I was a top student in many of my courses and i was strugeling in some other courses.
    In my main courses, the ones that was relevent to my major, i exelled. It was beacuse i liked what i was doing, i like the course and i wanted to learn. So its safe to say that once you have an intrest in the course and genually want to learn, you will become a top student.
