There’s nothing quite as annoying as losing track of your email address or password and not being able to get into your Google account — especially if it houses most of your digital life.

Nothing, that is, except for having your account hacked.

Regardless, there are several ways to recover your Gmail or Google account.

Here’s what you need to know.

Locked out of your Google account?
There may be times when you go to log in to Gmail, Google Docs, or any other Google site and can’t seem to remember the email address or password you used when creating your account. Luckily, Google makes it easy to recover your account information.

However, you will need some information to recover your account, whether it’s your email address, the date you created your account, or your phone number.

To recover your user name:
If you don’t use your email address often or if you never wrote it down, you might one day find that you’ve forgotten it. Google makes it easy to recover your user name.

  • Go to the Google sign-in page and click Need help? below the login field.
  • Click Find my account.

Select either Enter your recovery email address or Enter your recovery phone number, then type your name and check off the box next to I’m not a robot. Click Submit.typing recovery email address and
Google will send you an email or text message containing your user name.

To recover your password:
If you know your user name but can’t remember your password, you can reset your password to something else.

  • Go to the Google sign-in page and click Need help? below the login field.
  • Enter your email address, then click Next.

Enter the last password you can remember, then click Next. If you can’t remember one, click Try a different question. Other options will become available, including entering the month and year you created the account or sending a verification code to your recovery email address.

If you have a recovery email address, you will be sent a verification code to reset your password. If you don’t, you will be asked to type an email address or phone number where you can receive a code.
Once you receive the code, type it and click Next.

  • A new page will appear. Type your new password into the first field, then retype it into the second one. Click Change password.
  • Your password will be changed.

The Google Play Store hosts Android apps, and while there are other sources to download and install apps, it remains the most trusted destination and the default destination. You can also rent movies, buy e-books, and even music. So what would you do if Google Play wouldn’t let you sign in?

It can be frustrating to see that average Android users aren’t even aware of third-party app marketplaces, and most of them are riddled with malware and viruses. While the Google Play Store isn’t exactly free from these issues, it’s still the safest option. How to fix it?

1. UPDATE AND RESTART

When it comes to Android updates, the adoption rate isn’t exactly spectacular. Google often updates this graph and the results are subject to debate. Around 17% of users still have Marshmallow on their phone, which is also the highest. These operating system updates not only provide features but also critical fixes and bug fixes.

2. INTERNET CONNECTION
Check your internet connection using the Speed Test site to make sure you have a working connection with a decent speed. It’s also a good idea to check your ISP package. If possible, connect to another Wi-Fi network and try again. See this guide for more information on using Play Store with mobile data issues.

3. USE OF DATA
You have a strong internet connection and other apps are working fine. It does not mean that Play Store also has internet access. You can limit internet access on an app basis. To check, go to Settings and tap Manage apps or if you have a different UI, look for a list of installed and system apps.
Search Play Store and Play Services here. First tap on Play Store.

Make sure it can access the internet on mobile data and Wi-Fi on your phone under Restrict data usage. Repeat the same process for Play Services this time.

4. APPLICATION PERMISSIONS
It’s possible that a recent update or security app messed up the app’s permissions. To check, open Settings and go back to Manage apps. https://www.not-working.co/google-si...
