But if a farmer is literate,
1. He can manage overall agriculture management along with its allied activities.
2. He can properly utilise the available resources.
3. He can minimise operational expenditure by check and balance method.
4. He can take calculated risk.
5. He can improve his overall cultivation methodology in newly logical, innovative methods.
6. He can grow crops that mean to be growth in scientific manner i.e. grafting etc.I think, literate farmer can better perform in farm management.

To some extent my answer is yes for daily needs purposes for accounting purposes, financial and economic purposes for doing farming education may be needed. Farmers needs to be educated to know the balance diet of crop, soil etc. What is the optimum level of water requirements is needed to grow a particular crop.
What type of crop is fitted for a particular soil.
What is the nutritional value of crop
How much crop needed the NPK fertilizer
What is the terms delta, duty, crop rotation, base period, and all the associated terms
For all these it is necessary the farmers needs to ensure educated to increase the growth of crop.answered by pmahajan18
