    If you have deeply loved someone then that feeling stays, you can’t reverse that; but having said that I would also like to add that to fall out of love is also a possibility and I consider that to be completely normal.
    Feelings can change.
    Friendship is the first step in the process of falling in love with someone.
    If both the partners share a mutual feeling of separating and are mature enough to end it on good terms than I guess being friends can be possible.
