Q. What is your "I never thought I'd live to see the day" story?

It amazes me today to see more and more people looking for handouts and for someone else to take care of them (i.e.; Government in general). People in general seem like they are always looking and waiting for something to give them something they didn’t earn.
The technology of today makes it so much easier for everyone in the world to access information so that they can help themselves. Thanks to the internet of course. One can learn just about anything they would or could want to learn today.
The second part of this answer (not intended) is that the abundance of information that is available is truely incredible. When i was a youngstar, i had so many interests but very little access, or at least easier access, to information that i was interested in. (i.e.; Martial Arts, bikes, motors, nature, etc…)
The tools that we have available to us today just wasn’t thought of back then… more is more and more isn’t always better. Unless you respect it. ;)answered by keith
with the history of my slow internet I never thought I’d live to see the day that a page takes less than a minute to load. but a while back all internet connections in my country got faster by five or six folds. now I can download woth 500KBs (still a long way to what people have in the first world)
