How do people become engineers without having interest in engineering?
There are many people out there who did engineering without any interest in it, they just did the studies to get a fine job and make their life more comfortable. Why do these kind of people become engineers who haven’t even invented a single thing in their lifetime? Who doesn’t even have interest in it?

The thing is when the majority of students reach about the age where they need to pick a discipline, they hardly know what do they want to pick.
Then what?
Just go with the flow, pick what others are doing.
That is how such engineers become engineers by a degree but not in practical terms because it was never their choice to become one.
Not that all engineers are such, for which I don’t think there needs to be any justification as the world wouldn’t be functioning this well if there weren’t these brilliant engineersanswered by vivaan
