Getting divorced doesn’t mean the end of family life. You should still be able to see your family. At least, you should as long as you’re a kind and law-abiding parent. A court can only stop you from seeing your son if there’s evidence that your son is in some kind of danger by visiting you. Assuming that this isn’t the case, then you have every right to regularly meet your children. This applies whether you’re the mother or the father in this situation.

In many cases, one parent might try to slander the other in an attempt to stop them from having access to their kids. If you’re in this situation, then you need to hire a custody attorney to protect your interests. They’ll be able to defend your suitability as a parent and put forward the evidence to support this. Eventually, you’ll win the legal right to see and raise your own son.
