Q. How much does experience matter when hiring a building planner?
1 Answer
It really could not be any more important, to be honest. Anyone who is making planning drawings for you should be experienced. Hiring a junior might lead to rookie mistakes that cost you time and money down the line. Instead, you should be looking for anyone who has at least a decade of experience in the game.
For example, you want to hire a specialist with years of experience. Based in Kent, we have local building planning experts, Heritage Builders to choose from. They have been around since 1939, so they have ample experience in how building planning has changed over the decades.
For me, experience is the single most important matter when hiring a planner. Inexperienced planners make mistakes, and trust me when I say that even a slight error in planning can cost you massively.
