Pick and pack services are often used in e-commerce. The way it works is that a manufacturer or distributor sends out a shipment of goods. These goods may be in boxes, cases, cartons, or other shipping containers.

The shipment will come with instructions on where it needs to be picked up. When the picker arrives at the location, they will need to inspect the shipment for any signs of damage before loading it onto their truck.

Once loaded, the driver will then bring it back to their facility, where they will unload all items into designated storage areas and then begin packaging them.
For larger packages, there may also be an outer layer, such as a cardboard box or padded envelope, to provide additional protection. If required, the pick and pack service will also create labels with customer information so the customer can easily identify their package once it has been shipped out. There is more information about the pick and pack process on this website.
