    If you have broken a piece of wood, it might feel like you can just fill in the dent/gap with any old filler. This is not the case; you should use something that can pair with wood. Some fillers stand out a mile away when the reflection of the light lands on the filled-in area. I recommend instead that you use something called a flexible wood filler from Make Wood Good.

    This has always resolved my issues if I have managed to damage wood (which I somehow do a lot). It is a good, easy way to fill in the damage and hide the impact. This is probably the easiest way to get your wood product to look good and fresh once again. Avoid using general-purpose filler; specific wood filler is what you should be looking for.
