Do you think it is fair that you get paid for your data?

Google, Facebook, they all make millions by selling our data. How about an app which lets you control your own data and lets you earn currency for it. I discovered such a project and I suggest you check it out. I am pretty bullish about it. Visit appstore: datum.

Would be better if they don’t sell our data but if they do they should ask you what and pay you.

There are more than one of that kind of projects :) also many apps that offers very similar services - look at this reddit topic … so, nothing new. But in the long term it can be defiinitelly one winner from them all and at one time the users finally get that idea that they can earn from their data too and the “free service” is very poor “wage” for their data.

It’s good that decentralized applications are starting pay to people for using, but on the other side GOOGLE, the money it earns invests back into research into various technologies, such as robotics. The question is how much will research slow down after most people go to use decentralized platforms?

No one should have control of my personal data without my permission. We can authorized a company to use our private info for researches, but we have to be paid. The world needs a fair distribution of wealth.
