Hey crafters! Just messed up my first commission piece - was supposed to be this smooth, velvety cat portrait but ended up with a loop pile that made it look like a shaggy dog 😅 Client was surprisingly cool about it, but now I’ve got another pet portrait coming up and I’m torn between techniques. Would love to hear from experienced tufters about when you prefer cut pile vs loop pile, especially for detailed work like animal fur! Share your pet project stories too?

I remember a few months back when my friend’s company had to let a chunk of their staff go due to budget cuts. The atmosphere was tense, and they really needed solid security to manage the situation. They hired a local RIF security service that handled things with professionalism, but I think there might be better options out there. If anyone knows of reputable security services that specialize in managing Reduction In Force situations, please share! I want to help my friend avoid any mishaps in the future.
